The CamBotsio Foundation Team

Cordelia Asamoah

Cordelia Asamoah  is the founder and Chair of the CamBotsio Foundation. She set up the charity in 2016 to channel her passion for education in a way that would help some of societies poorest, particularly in Ghana, whilst honouring the memory of both her father and her Uncle, Kojo Botsio, Ghana’s first education minister.

Born and raised in London to Ghanaian parents, Cordelia was educated in the UK and Ghana and graduated from the University of Surrey in 1988.  In her career as a professional buyer and procurement consultant, Cordelia works across a range of industries including health, defence and consumer services in both private and public sector organisations, helping them to run more efficiently and profitably.

Her passion for helping children gain a good education developed when as a school governor for a Junior School (Highfield School, Kent) Cordelia had the privilege of leading the school (as Chair of Governors) through an Ofsted Outstanding classification. During her time here, Cordelia gained a clear insight into what good education looks like and how transformative it can be for children.

With the Cambotsio Foundation she combines her understanding and passion for good education, her knowledge of and network in Ghana and a commitment to helping under-privileged children shine. It is her dream to have been part of creating a Ghana where no child falls through the education net and has the nurturing start in life each one deserves.
